Chenzhou is located in the southern area of Hunan province, China. It is well known as a mountain city as well as a city full of forests. The picture below gives you a glance of the city from the top point of Suxian Hill. On the bottom left corner, it is a zoomed in view of my high school:)
I want to introduce this place not only because Yini was born here and grew up for 17 years, but the city also has over 100 tourism spots including places of interest such as natural scenic spots, ancient relics and architectures. The most famous ones are Suxian Hill, Dongjiang Lake, Manshan National Conservation Forest Area and the Wugai Mountain Hunting Field.
In the picture above, it shows Beihu Park, Sand Park, Suxian Hill Park, Nanta Tower in the center of the city, Xiaobu Resort, Matafeiyan statue with sign of Chenzhou, and Wuling Pavillion. The big picture on the right is a night snap of Wuling Square. A great number of citizens come to do exercises in the morning and go dancing or walking here at night.
Wanhua Cave, this group of pictures demonstrate a natural cave which was formed through thousands of years. The temperature inside the cave is naturally maintained at 19 Degree Celsius year round. An array of various rocks compose different views in this magical cave.
At the entrance of the Wanhua cave, there is a small but very high waterfall dripping from the top of the cave into lake surrounding the cave. Check the video about this nonstop running fall! By the way, near to the end of this video, you will see a girl in black shirt with a middle-aged man in white. That's me and my dad:) The other two guys wandered around before us. That's my cousin and his girlfriend:)
Nanling Mountain Range brings a Feitian Mountain Park for people to go hiking and picnic here. You can see this is a very special kind of lanform called Danxia which is composed of numerous jumbo rocks.
The last tourism spot is my favorite called Dongjiang Lake. This is a huge water area connected with river branches. People go boating, fishing and hunting here. The quality of water is very good so it also supports the city water system. There is a Dongjiang Dam here which helps with the largest power supply in southern China.
